According to the statement of the local channel “Dunya TV”, Shoaib Akhtar completed his “Nikah” in a very simple ceremony on June 25 that year. Only a few of the two families were present in this event.

The report also said that Shoaib paid Rs. 5 lakh at the wedding ceremony for Rubab to take over. Not Shoaib, but his parents wanted it to be a simple affair rather than a grand ceremony.
