Diego Maradona, the God of football, has died of a heart attack. He was 60 at the time of his death.  He was admitted to hospital in early November with a blood clot in his brain.  There he underwent surgery on an emergency basis.  He was released from the hospital on November 11.




He led Argentina to the 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico and won the title.  He also led Argentina to the final of the 1990 World Cup.  He retired from football in 1997.  From 2008 to 2010, he coached the Argentine national team.




After being tested for dope at the 1994 World Cup in the United States, he was not allowed to play in the rest of the matches;  was sent back to the country.  He has been suffering from drug addiction for a long time.  He has repeatedly faced problems due to alcohol addiction.  Many football fans around the world consider Maradona to be the best footballer of all time.  He is the true ‘God of football’ to many.
