Actress Kangana Ranaut commented that 99 percent of Bollywood is drug addicted. Urmila Matondkar opened her mouth against this statement. She said, “Kangana’s state Himachal is a drug arena. She should solve that problem first.”
Urmila was an active member of the Congress during the last Lok Sabha polls. In fact, she was fighting for the Congress in the Mumbai-North Lok Sabha constituency. But lose. Kangana, on the other hand, is known as ‘BJP-close’. As a result, Urmila-Kangana battle can be assumed to have political affiliation behind. But what Padma Shri Kangana has said in response to the former Congress leader’s attack is likely to spill over. In Kangana’s words, “Does anyone know Urmila for her acting skills? No. Then why is she famous? She’s famous for acting in soft porn.”
Since the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, Kangana has been vocal about regular drug use in much of Bollywood. In fact, the Hindi film industry is also divided on this issue. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan sharply criticized Kangana’s statement. She dismissed allegations of drug abuse in Bollywood. Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhaskar and other anti-Kangana people of Bollywood came forward in support of Jaya Bachchan. Kangana also issued a counter statement. In the meanwhile Urmila’s statement came out publicly. In an interview, Urmila attacked Kangana over drug addiction in her state of Himachal. “Kangana is tarnishing the image of Bollywood just to get a ticket from the ruling party,” she said.
It was expected that Kangana would open her mouth. She said she could easily get a BJP ticket if she wanted to. She doesn’t have to do so much for that. And asked, “If Urmila can get a ticket, can’t I?”
Like Jaya, the anti-Kangana section of Bollywood has sided with Urmila. Where there are stars like Swara Bhaskar, Pooja Bhatt, Anubhav Sinha, Farha Khan. The point of their statement is that they are reluctant to give importance to any of Kangana’s comments. As Swara tweeted, ‘Urmila’s work in films like ‘Rangeela’, ‘Satya’, ‘Masoom’ still surprises her. Farha further said, ‘Talent is eye-catching in itself. There is no need to spread the word.” Incidentally, for the last few days, the city of Mumbai and the world of Hindi film have been busy with Kangana. Considering her close to the ruling party at the Center, the Brihanmumbai Municipality under the Uddhav Thackeray government in Maharashtra has demolished the ‘illegal’ part of Kangana’s Pali Hill bungalow. Kangana went to the Bombay High Court with that issue. She has received a stay order on demolishing the house there. She then directly challenged Uddhav.

Finally, Kangana left Mumbai and returned to her home in Himachal. But from there, she is making statements against Jaya Bachchan first and then Urmila. Earlier, she had limited his speech to Bollywood and drug use. But on Thursday, she called Urmila a ‘soft porn actress’ and made the situation worse. She is being bullied on Twitter. But so far no one was able to send in the perfect solution, which is not strange. Now let’s see if Urmila herself said anything about this!
