Kareena Kapoor Khan discloses the reasons behind tying the knot with Saif Ali Khan following a five-year live-in.

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan, a beloved couple in the entertainment industry, spent five years in a live-in relationship before officially getting married in 2012. Recently, in a conversation, Kareena shared insights into her choice to marry her co-star from “Kurbaan.”

Kareena explained to The Dirty Magazine that the decision to marry is often driven by the desire to start a family. She emphasized that if the goal is not to have children immediately, couples can opt to live together without getting married. Drawing from her own experience with Saif Ali Khan, she shared that they chose to marry after living together for five years because they were ready to take the next step and start a family.

Discussing parenthood, Kareena mentioned that Saif treats their sons, Taimur and Jeh, as unique individuals, acknowledging and respecting their core personalities. She emphasized the importance of allowing the children to be themselves, letting them navigate and discover their own paths, as kids are resilient. Kareena expressed her desire to live her life openly in front of her children and engage in activities with them, highlighting the significance of her own mental health for the well-being of the family. On the professional front, Kareena Kapoor Khan is set to appear in Rajesh Krishnan’s upcoming film, “The Crew,” featuring Tabu, Kriti Sanon, and Diljit Dosanjh, scheduled for release in March 2024. She recently starred in Sujoy Ghosh’s thriller, “Jaane Jaan,” alongside Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat. Additionally, Kareena is part of Hansal Mehta’s “The Buckingham Murders,” which premiered at the Jio MAMI Mumbai Festival.
